Stratford weekly Cribbage, sponsored by the Stratford Lions Club, is at the Cotton Centre, 57 Bunbury Rd., Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. Prizes are $100, $60 and $40. Admission: $6 per person; all are welcome. Proceeds go to Lions’ community projects. Call 902-569-2409.

St. Martin’s CWL Strawberry Social and Fruitcake Auction is at the church house in Cumberland on Friday, Aug. 2, 6 p.m., with the cake auction to start at 7 p.m.
Scott Redmond Memorial Ball Tournament Silent Auction is Friday, Aug. 2, 8-11 p.m., at Vernon River Hall, with free admission, lunch and entertainment.
St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, Spring Brook, 5559 Route 20, will hold a yard sale and barbecue on Friday, Aug. 2 6-8 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 3 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
