Summerside United Pentecostal Church organizing a concert for Aug. 17
An upcoming fundraising concert in Summerside will benefit the Prince County Hospital.
Members of the Summerside United Pentecostal Church is the organizing committee for the evening of gospel music entitled “Concert of Hope”.
The event will feature guitar virtuoso Larry Carter on Aug. 17 at the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside.
Pastor Sean Ward said the concert was born out of the desire to give back to the community.
“The concert has been prayerfully planned to bring an evening of spiritual ministry, while at the same time assist in a fundraising campaign for Prince County Hospital Foundation,” he said.
Tickets are on sale now at the Harbourfront Theater for $20.
All proceeds from the event will help with the purchase of much-needed cardiac monitors for the PCH.
This year and next, as part of the Vital Signs Appeal, the PCH Foundation is raising funds to replace every cardiac monitor at the hospital in units such as Maternal Child Care where the organizers were able to gather to hear more about the muchneeded technology.
Special fundraisers like these mean a great deal to the PCH Foundation and its role in supporting the patients of the hospital.
