Ceilidhs are Fridays at St. Peters Circle Club, St. Peters, 7:30-11 p.m.

A ceilidh is at the Emerald Boxcar Pub & Grill Community Centre, Sept. 6, 7:30 p.m., hosted by Courtney Hogan with guests Johnny Ross and Peggy Clinton, along with Abigail Rogers. Food and drinks and 50/50 tickets will be available at 5:30 p.m.

A music night at the Elmsdale Community Centre is Sept. 6, 7:30 p.m. Music will be by George Chaisson, Roger Chaisson, Joe Doucette, John MacInnis, LeRoy Hiltz and Bob Flaherty.

Fiddlers’ Sons (Eddy Quinn, John B. Webster and Keelin Wedge) is at the Irish Hall in the Katherine Hughes Memorial Hall, Irish Cultural Centre, Sept. 6, 8 p.m. Tickets are at the door, which opens at 7 p.m. There will be a 50/50 draw and a light lunch. A Legion Kitchen Party is at the Summerside Legion on Saturdays, 2-5 p.m., with Eddy Quinn performing on Sept. 7.

World Class Kitchen Party is presented by the Richard Wood Trio (Richard Wood, Gordon Belsher, Brad Fremlin) at the Stanley Bridge Hall, Saturdays, 7:30 p.m. Admission is at the door.

Irish music session with Roy Johnstone and friends is Sundays, 2-5 p.m. Players are welcome.

Tunes on Tap is Sundays, 3-5 p.m., at Copper Bottom Brewery in Montague, hosted by Ward MacDonald with a special guest each week. On Sept. 8, guests are Jesse Francis, Iain MacInnes and Grady Poe All ages are welcome. Admission is free.

A fundraisin­g ceilidh is Sept. 8, 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.), at the Lower Montague Women’s Institute Hall, 88 Lower Montague Rd. Admission by donation. There will be 50/50 tickets, a fudge sale, a pie auction and strawberry shortcake at intermissi­on, as well as plenty of music featuring guitars, banjo, fiddles, step-dancing, great harmonies, tunes and talents. Anyone who wants to share a musical talent is invited to come join in the fun. Performers include Lorraine Lynch, Bud Stewart, Isabelle Saunders, Amanda MacLean, Gerry Franciosa, Colton Matheson, Emmett DeCoursey, Kevin Jesso, Killick Junction (Len Buell, Edna MacMaster, Wayne MacLean), Dennis Boudreau and John O’Holloran.

Hunter River Lions Club will hold a ceilidh on Sept. 8, 7 p.m. Entertaine­rs will be Bryce Guptill, Lyle Clarke, Clifford MacIntyre, Mary Mullins, Mary Cousins, Trudy Corbet Hughes, Brent Gallant and Millie MacDonald. There will be lunch and a 50/50 draw. Admission is $5.

Sunday Night Shenanigan­s, hosted by Judy MacLean at York Community Centre, continues Sept. 8, 7 p.m., featuring “Codroy” Joe Hines, Marie Hines, Jo-Anne Ford, Michael Buell, Gloria Warren-Provost, Dylan Ferguson and the Judy MacLean Dancers, plus fiddlers and more. John Connolly is at the Victoria Playhouse on Sept. 9, 7:30 p.m. For the first time, he will perform a solo concert version of his musical, “Marathon of Hope”, based on the true story of Terry Fox. Connolly will perform the songs from the show and present the story in a concert format.
