Island Nature Trust will hold its annual general meeting on Thursday, Sept. 19, 7 p.m., in the Carriage House at the corner of West and Kent streets, Charlottet­own, featuring an update on the year’s activities, the presentati­on of the 2019 Hon. J. Angus MacLean Natural Areas Award and guest speakers Sonya Richmond and Sean Morton, whose presentati­on is entitled “Come Walk With Us - Trans Canada Hike 4 Birds”. Health

A blood typing event will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, 2 p.m., at Confederat­ion Centre Public Library. A person’s blood type is important, not only because of who they can donate to, but also who they can receive blood from. Representa­tives from Canadian Blood Services will be on hand to discuss this important topic.

Cards/Cribbage/ Crokinole

The Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, will be having a Cribbage tournament on Thursday, Sept. 19. Registrati­on begins at 9:15 a.m. with the games at 9:30 a.m. Admission is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. There will be a 50/50 draw and prizes for first, second and third. Partners are not required but are recommende­d.

Board games are played at the Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, on Thursdays, 10 a.m.

The Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, will be having an Auction tournament on Thursday, Sept. 19. Registrati­on is at 12:45 p.m. with the tournament starting at 1 p.m. Admission is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. There will be a 50/50 draw as well as prizes for first, second and third.

Cash bingo is at the Montague Legion Br. 8, 15 Douses Rd., Thursdays, 7 p.m., with a 50/50 draw, a progressiv­e jackpot, canteen service and compliment­ary tea and coffee.
