Saturday, Oct. 26, for the fall roast beef dinner put on by Central Queens United Church, Hunter River. Enjoy all the tasty trimmings with delicious desserts. Browse the bazaar table with home-baking and crafts. There are two seatings: 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Take-outs are available for pick-up at 3 p.m. Tickets are $16/ adult, $7 for children six to 12 years and free for children under 6 years of age. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2 p.m., for the Latin American Mission Program (LAMP) 28th annual Daniel O’Hanley Memorial Lecture at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Hall, 151 Stratford Rd., Stratford. The presenter is Qajaq Robinson. The topic of the lecture is Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls: it is time to listen. Entertainm­ent and refreshmen­ts will follow the lecture.

Monday, Oct. 28, 7:30 p.m., for the Canoe Cove Community Associatio­n annual general meeting. All residents of Canoe Cove are members of the CCCA and are invited to attend. The meeting will be held at the Canoe Cove Schoolhous­e. Come meet neighbours and participat­e in the local community associatio­n.
