From marriages to births to behind the scenes tidbits, here’s your Hollywood update.
Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney (a 34-year-old art director; don’t worry, I had to Google him too) got married! It was a star-studded event with Kris Jenner, Adele, Amy Schumer, Ashley Olsen, Emma Stone, and Sienna Miller in attendance. Guests enjoyed an elaborate meal of five-week-aged leg of beef with forager’s sauce and salt cod beignets. “I’m fancy too,” I whisper to myself as I slice bananas onto my bowl of Rice Krispies.
Lauren Conrad gave birth to a second baby boy, Charlie Wolf. Charlie Wolf seems like a VERY original name except that it’s the exact same name Zooey Deschanel named her son two years earlier. It turns out Lauren Conrad is now known as the girl who didn’t go to Paris AND the baby name stealer. If that joke went over your head then you probably didn’t watch “The Hills” and therefore are at least two IQ points ahead of me.
“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” has been airing episodes surrounding last year’s Met Gala and, if you can believe it, 12 years later we are still learning things about Kim Kardashian. Kim’s dress came with a super-human-rib-breaking corset and in a clip, she realizes she’s unable to pee in the ensemble. As the group of friends brainstorm, Kim agrees the only viable option is to just pee herself and get one of her sisters to wipe her leg. I once had a very embarrassing accident involving a fried chicken burger and a long bathroom-free walk home, but I didn’t air it in on television!
Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram and now holds the world record for the fastest account to gain one million followers. She was welcomed to the social platform by fellow celebs like Courtney Cox, Anna Faris, Mindy Kaling, Rachel Zoe, Olivia Munn, Kerry Washington, Chelsea Handler and about two million more. Now that’s a girl gang I’d leave my house for!
Season 3 of “Workin’ Moms” is coming to Netflix on Oct. 25. This CBC comedy about a group of moms trying to figure out work and parenthood is hilarious and touching. I don’t have any human children (although I do have a dog I like to cradle in my arms when he’ll allow it) and I still find this show relatable.
Former stars of “The Office”, Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, have a new podcast called Office Ladies. Listen as Jenna and Angela relive all nine seasons of The Office, give behind the scenes stories, memories, and have occasional guests. The idea was born when the duo was doing a cleaning spree of memorabilia they had from the show and thought, “How can we work together and be in sweatpants?” I can totally relate to the sweatpants part – not the cleaning or working part.
