A stand-up platform will present a special show today at The Guild in Charlottetown.

International Wisdom Truth & Failure, is excited to announce that the GEBIS, Daniel Cousins and Teresa Tu have been invited to be the guest speakers at Show #5, to be held at The Guild.

The focus for Show #5 is “Direction Matters, Time Does Not”.

International Wisdom Truth and Failure, is an unorthodox stand-up platform for folks to speak up, tell a story and talk about life challenges through art or another expressive medium.

Show #5 also strives to repair negative thoughts about failure into a new positive opportunity and build every person’s ordinary to extraordinary. For more information contact Ceejay Amadi, founder of International Wisdom, Truth & Failure, at internationalswtf@gmail.com.

GEBIS, Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society (GEBIS) is a Canadian-based Buddhist organization. Within it, they strive to cultivate inner compassion and wisdom by learning and living the Buddha’s teachings. It is their faith that Buddha’s education and values can help bring profound positive changes to the world. By putting the Buddha’s teachings into practice, their aspiration is to make their communities and, in turn, the world a better place.

Cousins, an out-of-the-box thinker with a goal to make change happen, is the person behind the Charlottetown Tool Library, Repair Cafe P.E.I., Barter Bazaar, Fill Up Here and TEDx Charlottetown. He is excited to share his story of the work behind the scenes and the importance of the effort need for impactful change.

Tu graduated as an international student from UPEI where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in business with a specialization in finance, a minor in economics and a co-operative education designation. Tu was also a member of the UPEI student union council and worked with the Buddy Program connecting international students with domestic students.

Show #5 will showcase speakers and artists from the community to inspire and motivate the audience - especially youths - with stories and perspectives of life while also focusing greatly on the possibilities of success.

International Wisdom Truth and Failure’s mission for the initiative is to continue to share wisdom and love with the world.

They invite the general public to join them and listen to inspiring stories from people in the community as they speak about things nobody ever talks about in the open.
