Tuesday, Dec. 3, 4:30 p.m., for a seniors roast turkey dinner being put on by the Seniors Group of Holy Redeemer at the Jack Blanchard Family Centre on Pond Street, Charlottet­own. The price is $14. Tickets can be reserved by calling David at 902-892-1558 by the 5 p.m. deadline on Sunday, Dec. 1. Call early as this one always sells out before the deadline.

Sunday, Dec. 8, 2-4 p.m., for the 24th annual Stratford and Area Seniors’ Christmas Tea and Carol Sing, put on by the Assumption Council of the Knights of Columbus in Stratford at the Assumption Parish Centre, 151 Stratford Rd., Stratford. All Stratford and area seniors are welcome and attendance is the only admission charge. There will be local entertainm­ent to help everyone sing Christmas carols together. There also will be tea, sandwiches, sweets, door prizes and a visit by a special guest.

Sunday, Dec. 8, 6 p.m. and 6:30

p.m., for the live nativity event being put on by the Sunday school of Central Queens United Church, Hunter River. The presentati­on will take place on the church parking lot featuring the Sunday School students and live animals in a recreated Bethlehem setting on the night of Jesus’ birth. Admission is a free-will offering. Visitors are invited into the church for light refreshmen­ts following the tour through Bethlehem.

Book launch

The Coles Genealogy Committee will be holding a book launch of the latest update to its family tree series, “The Coles Family of P.E.I.” on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2-5 p.m., at the Milton Community Hall. For informatio­n, contact Charley Coles at 902-566-5913.

Coffee club is Mondays and Fridays, 10 a.m., at the Milton Community Hall. Enjoy coffee and snacks. Admission is a donation of coin or treats.
