Second annual Christmas Tea and Craft Fair at the BIS

-

The Benevolent Irish Society will be holding its second annual Christmas Tea and Craft Fair on Sunday, Dec. 1, 1-4 p.m., in the wheelchair accessible Irish Cultural Centre at 582 North River Rd., Charlottetown.

This year is bigger than last year with 23 vendors participating, making it necessary to open up the lower foyer as well as the main hall to accommodate so many vendors.

There will be many kinds of knitted products, jams, jellies, gluten-free home baking, handmade chocolates, jewelry, fresh spruce wreaths and Christmas tree ornaments of various kinds, including sea glass angels. Also included will be hand-sewn items, stained glass, tote bags, children and adult books, art, painting, some quilted goods and many other items too numerous to mention. In addition, check out the one-of-a-kind framed and matted genuine 1880 Meacham’s Atlas homestead pictures for sale.

At the festive Christmas Tea Table, enjoy tea and a choice of home-made Christmas goodies.

Any revenue that the BIS derives from the Christmas Tea and Craft Fair will be used to support its benevolent activities this Christmas.

There will be a raffle ticket draw after the event for a large gift basket, which will contain an item from each of the 23 vendors who will be displaying and selling their crafts at the fair. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three tickets for $5.

Doors open at 1 p.m. when the fair starts and will close at 4 p.m. Admission is $1 at the door. For more information, call 902-213-3924.
