Tunes on Tap is Sundays, 3-5 p.m., at Copper Bottom Brewery in Montague, hosted by Ward MacDonald with a special guest each week. On Dec. 1, the guest performer is Lightyearl­ong. All ages are welcome. Admission is free.

A ceilidh is at the Dunstaffna­ge Community Centre on Dec. 1, 7 p.m., hosted by Roadmaster­s Band (Ivor Price, Wayne Diamond, Theo Wiegers, Wayne Beaton). Entertaine­rs include Elaine O’Connor, Randy and Waylon Blaisdale, Leo Gallant and fiddler Buddy Longaphee. Admission is $8. There will be a light lunch served, as well as 50/50 tickets available. Cymbria Lions Christmas Ceilidh is Dec. 1, 7 p.m., with music by Tip-ErBack with Allison Giggey. There will also be step-dancing. Admission is $12 with children $5. Proceeds are going to the Gulf Shore School Band Equipment Fund. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Gallant’s Country Market or at the door.

An informal, acoustic traditiona­l music session is Tuesdays, 7-9 p.m., at the Old Triangle, Charlottet­own. Players and dancers are welcome.

Acoustic jams are Wednesdays, 6:30-9 p.m., at Murphy’s Community Centre, Richmond Street, Charlottet­own (except on holidays). Everyone is welcome to bring an instrument or just listen. The gospel group, Jericho Road,

has once again returned to performing and will be offering a concert at Bedeque United Church at 7 p.m. on Dec. 10. The admission of $10 includes a lunch.

NEW YEAR’S EVE EVENTS

New Year’s Eve gala dinner and dance are Dec. 31 at the Jack Blanchard Centre, Charlottet­own. Ticket are $45 per person (hot roast beef or hot turkey dinner and the dance) or $20 per person (dance only). Music is by Kendall Docherty, Dino Dunsford and Peter Burke with back-up musicians George MacPhee, Heartz Godkin and Bob Gagnon. There will be bar service, as well as a 50/50 draw in support of an Island charity. DANCES

A country dance/open mike, featuring Mary and Clifford, is at Goose River Community Centre, Nov. 30, 8-11 p.m. Admission is $8. There is a door prize and lunch.
