PIGSKIN PICKS

-

I got roasted with Oakland at the New York Jets last week. I should have listened to track handicapper Evan Ford, who loved the Jets, while the Winnipeg Blue Bombers dominated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Grey Cup, so not a great week. I have dusted off the crystal ball and love these four NFL games, so jump aboard The Prophet’s wagon.

New York Jets (4-7) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-11) –

The New York Jets, who looked great in Gotham last Sunday against Oakland, visit the Bengals who are four-point home dogs. Jets QB Sam

Darnold is getting better every week with eight TDs in his last four starts. Jets by seven points.

San Francisco 49ers (10-1) at Baltimore Ravens (9-2) –

The 49ers routed the Green Bay Packers, but this week they travel east to meet the NFL’s best club, the Baltimore Ravens and superstar Lamar Jackson. The Ravens are five-point favourites and they’ll cover.

Minnesota Vikings (8-3) at Seattle Seahawks (9-2) –

The Seahawks are four-point home favourites and I can’t bet against MVP candidate QB Russell Wilson. Vikings QB Kirk Cousins is having a terrific year as well, but it’s in Seattle and that counts for a three-point win. I’ll pass on this one and you should too.

L.A. Rams (6-5) at Arizona Cardinals (3-7-1) –

The Rams have been playing poorly and were mauled last week at home. The Cardinals have a great young QB in Kyler Murray. This is the upset special.

Cleveland Browns (5-6) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5) –

This is the big rematch since the Myles Garrett helmet incident. This is a playoff-type game. The Browns have more offence than the Steelers, so bet the Browns.
