Bruce Guthro will not only be hosting two music legends and one of the region’s hottest prospects on Jan. 31, during the Bruce Guthro Songwriters Circle – P.E.I. in Charlottetown he will be throwing a birthday celebration for a music icon.

Guthro is excited to have his daughter Jodi, Terry Kelly and Matt Minglewood in his circle, at the Delta Prince Edward. This talent in itself sets up a very entertaining night but Minglewood’s actual birthday is going to add another component to the fun.

“Matt threw many a party all over the world and we are going to give him one of his own. Terry, Jodi and I can’t wait to get to the Island to celebrate his birthday,” says Guthro.

He has a perfect reason to pick it up a notch on a spectacular night with a music icon, great music, stories, wit and company. “We are going to have a packed room to join in the celebration and everyone is invited.”

The storied careers of this East Coast performing artists are well known. Collectively, they’ve performed in dozens of countries, multiple continents and they have won international, national and regional awards.

Guthro’s daughter Jodi, on the other hand, is in the earlier stages of a promising career. She has released seven singles on the way to her debut album. This past November and December, she joined her father on a 10stop tour throughout Germany and Denmark and was an instant hit.

“The beauty of these circles is that I get to work with so many diverse artists. Case in point, I have two legends and Jodi in this one. I love the mix of young and old. Jodi is developing a following with her solo career and she is sitting in there with the best of them on this night.”
