Charlottetown offering online registration for summer camps and sports programs
The Charlottetown parks and recreation department is preparing to open online registrations for summer day camps and the Intro to Sports program.
Online registration for summer day camps begins today at 9 a.m., and online registration for Intro to Sports is June 8 at 9 a.m.
A reduced number of participants will be allowed to register in accordance with the Renew P.E.I. Together day camp guidelines under direction from the Chief Public Health Office.
All registrations will be completed online. Customers are asked to create on online profile in advance, as it will be required to complete the online registration process. Charlottetown residents are asked to contact the parks and recreation department after creating an online account so it can be set as “city resident” in order to receive the resident rate.
Parents whose children participated in the summer day camps or Intro to Sports in 2019, and do not yet have an online profile, will be contacted by the parks and recreation department by email with details. To create an online account, visit app. bookking.ca/charlottetownpub. For information, call 902-368-1025.
Summer day camps are at the West Royalty Community Centre and Malcolm Darrach Community Centre, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They will run weekly, June 29 to Aug. 28, with no camp July 1 and Aug. 3. Activities include arts and crafts, theme days, gym activities, local playgrounds, outdoor activities, movies and more but no field trips at this time.
The Intro to Sports program, for children ages three to seven, takes place at Victoria Park and the West Royalty Community Centre with morning, evening and weekend classes. Full details are available at Charlottetown.ca under recreation and leisure.
