-

A section of a downtown Charlottetown street will be closed for the next two days for the installation of a sprinkler service.

A city traffic advisory said Water Street, between Queen and Great George streets, will be closed today, beginning at 7 a.m., and Tuesday.

Also today at 7 a.m., Prom Acadienne, between River Ridge Drive and Murchison Lane, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for pavement milling. Northridge Parkway, between Andrews Court and Westcomb Crescent, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for paving. Sidewalks will remain open in both locations.

There will be street line, crosswalk and arrow painting taking place between 5-8 a.m. at the intersection of Belvedere Avenue and North River Road. Single lane closures and minor delays should be expected, but traffic flow should be maintained. Street line painting will also occur during the same time at the intersection of Queen and Grafton streets. Lane closures are expected, but traffic flow will be maintained.

This week, sidewalk work is scheduled for Dunkirk Street, between Nassau Street and Kirkwood Drive; Pownal Street, between Kent and Richmond streets; and Patterson Drive, between Southgate Avenue and Glenafton Drive.

Curbing work is planned for All Souls Lane, between Pownal and Rochford streets.

Kent Street, between Great George and Prince streets, remains reduced to one lane of traffic due to the Fitzroy Parkade expansion.
