Students have access to transit program

- CHARLOTTETOWN RURAL HIGH SCHOOL

The Student Transit Program is coming back this year at Charlottetown Rural High School.

Anyone who would like a free unlimited transit pass to use for the 2020-21 school year should contact Ms. Tsai in student services.

COLONEL GRAY HIGH SCHOOL

The school's 2020 Terry Fox Run raised $3,300 through the efforts of students and staff.

From Oct. 21 to Dec. 15, Colonel Gray welcomes practicum teachers Tessa Janes working with Erin Costello, James Omowumi with Jared Cheverie, Spencer Stetson with Scott MacCormack and Keely McGill with Hadley Sealy.

Heckbert Studios will be photographing graduates at the school Oct. 22 to Nov. 3. Students can sign up for appointments online at www. heckbertsstudio.com for a $12 session with multiple poses. Anyone wanting to be included on the 2021 grad wall composite and who prefers not to order through Heckberts, may sign up for a one-shot, no-charge session on the same website. Due to Covid 19, guys need to wear their own white shirt and black necktie. Girls should wear a V-neck T-shirt to be hidden under the graduation gown, with hair and makeup completed prior to the session. Finished photos can be ready for Christmas, upon request.

Acadia University will host a lunch time virtual visit on Nov. 3 in Room 139. Students who sign-up for an advisement meeting, with on-thespot acceptance, will have the application fee waived.

The High School Reports feature runs in The Guardian on Mondays during the school year. All Island high schools are welcome to send in contributions. However, before doing so, either a student or staff member must contact Carolyn Drake at 902-629-6000, ext. 6036 for information on content and deadlines.
