Peacefully, surrounded by an amazing health care team at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, and family, Elaine ended her courageous struggle with leukemia on Sunday, November 22, 2020. She was three weeks short of her 72nd birthday. She leaves behind Gary, her loving husband of 52 years; daughter Heidi and Shawn Stearns, son Craig and Nancy (Winslow), daughter Kathy and Derek Anderson; grandchild­ren Nolan and Abby Stearns, Nicholas Clark, Ethan and Lauren Anderson; brothersin-law Roger and Carol Clark, and Kent and Roberta Clark, as well as many cousins, extended family, and special friends, many of them from seven special years in Bermuda. Predecease­d by her parents Guy and Gladys (Affleck) Glover. Celebrate her life by rememberin­g her special caring, sharing, and positive approach to life. She freely shared her cooking skills – especially her French bread, decorating ideas, and decorative painting, bringing much joy to many. Some of her special words of advice will always live on. “Wear your colours, find your joy each day, care for one another.” To all those who have held her in their thoughts and prayers this past year, and cared for her, a heartfelt thank you from her family. We have “felt your love”. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. A private family service of committal will take place at the People’s Cemetery, Mount Stewart.
