It is with great sadness we announce that our beloved Irene (Nicholson) Mbuyi has left us too soon. After a brave fight with cancer she passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021. Irene will be greatly missed by her husband and best friend Joseph, her beautiful sons Alex and Pierce and her much loved dog Cleo. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, John and Betty Nicholson, Searletown, PEI, Mother-in-law Tamila, Montreal, QE, siblings David (Marlene) Halifax, NS, Gordon (Anita), Chelton, PEI, Ruth Morrison (Scott), Cornwall, PEI, Scott, Searletown, PEI, Darlene Arsenault (Scott), Cornwall, PEI and Marlene MacWilliam­s (Glenn), Carleton, PEI, Brother-in-law Kadima (Sarah) Lonji, Vista, CAL, much cherished nephews; Bradley and Christophe­r Morrison, Johnathan Nicholson, Ryan Nicholson and Austin MacWilliam­s, Colby and Jase Arsenault, Prix Lonji and nieces; Suzanne Nicholson, Christina (Andrew) Creasy, Taunya (Kyle) Hardy and Jodi MacWilliam­s and many close friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. Irene loved to laugh, have fun and make sure everyone was well taken care of. Her great joy in life was spending time with her family which included many hours watching Alex and Pierce play hockey. We feel broken and lost, but as time passes our pain will ease and we will smile as we remember the wonderful gift we had in Irene. Due to Covid restrictio­ns there will be a private service held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, Ontario.
