Ancaster Lifestyle Home Show The 34th Ancaster Lifestyle Home Show has just about everything a homeowner could want, from roofers to replacement windows, kitchens to bathrooms, repairs to renovations, air conditioners to sunrooms. The show is at the Ancaster Fairgrounds, 630 Trinity Rd. at Highway 2, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 or get in for free by printing out coupon for two adults and two children at www.virtualhomeshow.ca They’re hot Tired of the cold weather? Don’t want to pay for a warm-weather vacation but need the warmth? Then head on down to the tropical greenhouse in Gage Park. The greenhouse features a flagstone path that leads you to fish-filled ponds and a spectacular waterfall. Lush, exotic plants, water lilies and lotus flowers add to the beauty of the greenhouse. There are four red-eared slider turtles that live in a custom-built pond adjacent to the waterfall. Through a partnership with the Friends of the Aviary, several species of birds are also on display. There are a number of exhibitors featuring golf equipment, golf courses, travel options, demonstrations and on-site lessons. The show is at the International Centre, 6900 Airport Rd., in Mississauga.
