CORRECTION

The A1 story on AGO Canadian art curator Andrew Hunter and actor Steve Martin in the July 18 Spectator should have said that Hunter’s grandparents, not his parents, had immigrated to Canada, and that Andrew’s father grew up in the east end, not Andrew himself, who grew up on the Mountain. The correct name of Andrew Hunter’s 1993 Art Gallery of Hamilton show about the punk movement is “Contains Material Which May Be Offensive To Some,” not the “Punk and Cootie Show,” which is how a writer described it at the time. The Spectator regrets the errors.
