Mohawk memories

Mohawk College is collecting stories and photos from graduates, students, retirees, faculty, staff and college partners in honour of its 50th anniversary. Along with Ontario’s 23 other public colleges, Mohawk will mark the anniversary in 2017 with special events throughout the year. Submissions can be made at mohawkcollege.ca/50th.

Elf at Eastgate

Holiday movie “Elf” is being shown in the Eastgate Square parking lot adjacent to the bus pad on Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. Admission to the movie is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy to the CHCH Christmas Toy Drive. Donations can be dropped off at the red toy box outside the Eastgate food court doors starting at 5 p.m.

Fashion show

Living Rock Youth Centre is holding its 14th annual Creativity Through Diversity fashion show on July 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission to the event, which is being held at The Gas Works, 141 Park St. N., costs $5. Proceeds will go toward a World Vision program for Syria chosen by youth.
