Flamboro Downs slot revenue puts $1.5 million into city coffers

Hamilton has received a first quarter payment of $1,553,479 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for hosting OLG Slots at Flamboro Downs.

Since October 2000, Hamilton has received more than $71.8 million in non-tax gaming revenue.

In fiscal 2016-2017, the province has allocated $115 million in gaming revenue to support charities through the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Every year, the Ontario government allocates funding to the province’s problem gambling program for research, treatment and prevention. The amount for fiscal 2016-2017 is $38 million.
