Wife Deanna will present Favre for Hall of Fame

-

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Tuesday the list of presenters for this year’s inductees, and former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will be presented by his wife, Deanna.

Deanna Favre becomes just the second wife to present a husband for induction into the Hall of Fame. The only other wife was Kim Singletary, who presented her husband Mike in 1998.

“Deanna is the best teammate I’ve ever had,” Favre said in a press release. “She has been by my side throughout this journey and I’m so excited that she gets to play such an important role for me.”

Kevin Greene, a former linebackers coach for the Packers, is also being inducted this year. He will be presented by Dom Capers, the defensive coordinator for the Packers.

Capers coached Greene twice, first as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers and later as head coach of the Carolina Panthers.

“I’m certainly humbled that Kevin would ask me to present him and I’m excited for Kevin,” Capers said in the release.

“If there is anybody that deserves to be in, he certainly deserves it.”
