Two volunteer firefighters charged in series of fires
Two Cape Breton volunteer firefighters are facing multiple charges of arson after a series of blazes in rural areas near Sydney, N.S. Cape Breton Regional Police said they have arrested and charged 49-yearold Stephen Tremblett of North Sydney and 24-year-old James Clayton MacDonald of Bras d’Or in connection with 16 fires. The fires occurred in structures, wooded areas and vehicles throughout the Florence and Bras d’Or communities in recent months. Police say the two men are members of the Florence volunteer fire department.
