Burlington lift bridge closures

The Burlington Canal Lift Bridge will be closed overnight twice this week. The bridge will be shut down from Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. to Sept 28 at 5 a.m., and again from Sept 28 at 8 p.m. to Sept. 29 at 5 a.m. Marine traffic will not be affected. The closures are taking place so that the bridge’s controls, drives and cables can be replaced. This will help extend the bridge’s life.
