Police release video of Mary Street car arson

Hamilton police have released a video of a car that was deliberately set on fire last Thursday on Mary Street.

The car fire was parked on a block of Mary by Cannon Street East where two shootings occured within weeks of each other.

Shots were fired at a house on Dec. 26 and again at a house on Jan.11. No residents were injured in the shootings.

Police haven’t said whether the shootings are connected, nor if the blaze had anything to do with them. The early-morning fire was put out quickly.

Arson investigators are hoping someone will come forward with information to help them arrest whoever is responsible.

Police have seized the vehicle as part of their investigation.
