Don’t lose sight of this injustice

RE: Condo boom leaves no room for Ron Belmore (Feb. 7)

I read this article with mounting horror and disbelief. It may be 2017, but the entire flavour was classic Dickensian.

I applaud the attention Mr. Belmore is receiving from his lawyer, but how is it possible for his disability support worker to clear such a place as appropriate for living? The landlord collected $650 a month from a brain injury victim, knowing full well the space he occupies is illegal to use as a residence.

I sincerely hope that this gross injustice does not get lost among those who appear to be positioning themselves to avoid responsibility. For Ron’s sake, make it right! Lynn Zwart, Grimsby
