Hamil­ton and Burling­ton are nat­u­ral part­ners in de­ter­min­ing the fu­ture of the Bay Area por­tion of the Greater Golden Horse­shoe mega re­gion. The stakes are high as our two com­mu­ni­ties work to­gether to cap­ture a healthy share of the sig­nif­i­cant pop­u­la­tion and em­ploy­ment growth now oc­cur­ring. What role does the Bay Area play as a con­trib­u­tor to a global me­trop­o­lis that stretches from Oshawa to Ni­a­gara through to U.S. bor­der states? How do we com­ple­ment and sup­port other dom­i­nant cen­tres of high tech in­no­va­tion, in­clud­ing Greater Toronto and Water­loo Re­gion? How do we join our voices to at­tract needed in­vest­ments in pub­lic in­fra­struc­ture and pri­vate devel­op­ment?
