Man found around youths ar­rested for pro­ba­tion breach

A 25-year-old Hamil­ton man has been ar­rested for fail­ing to com­ply with a pro­ba­tion or­der to stay away from chil­dren. Po­lice say they were dis­patched to a home on Bar­ton Street East near Bal­moral Av­enue North Satur­day night just be­fore 9 p.m. What had been re­ported to them as a break-in turned out to be a false alarm — but they did find a “num­ber of dis­or­derly youths.” While in­ves­ti­gat­ing, of­fi­cers de­ter­mined that the one man there was un­der a pro­ba­tion or­der to stay away from peo­ple un­der 16 years old. The man was ar­rested and be­came “dis­or­derly” with po­lice, they say. Cody Fisher, 25, was charged with two counts of fail­ing to com­ply with pro­ba­tion, fail­ing to com­ply with pro­ba­tion in re­la­tion to chil­dren, and mis­chief un­der $5,000.
