Driver drunk when he hit Mardi Gras crowd: po­lice

Po­lice said the man who al­legedly plowed into a crowd en­joy­ing a Mardi Gras pa­rade Satur­day in New Or­leans had a breath al­co­hol level three times the le­gal limit af­ter he was ar­rested. The New Or­leans Po­lice Depart­ment is­sued a state­ment Sun­day iden­ti­fy­ing the man as Neil­son Riz­zuto, 25. Po­lice say 28 peo­ple were hurt in the ac­ci­dent that had three peo­ple taken to the hos­pi­tal with mod­er­ate to se­ri­ous in­juries. No­body died.
