In memory of Ukrainian heroes

RE: Canada should not renew mission to Ukraine (Feb. 18)

One could ignore the misinformation in this antiUkrainian diatribe — the coup orchestrated by the U.S. government and the fascist presence in the current Ukrainian cabinet. It is, however, the memory of the thousands of Ukrainian individuals and heroes who sacrificed their lives for their nation’s freedom, justice and dignity in the Euro-revolution of 2013-14, that demands a response. I am proud and supportive of the fact that Canada has just renewed its commitment to the military mission in Ukraine. May I suggest the writer, a spokesperson for the Hamilton Coalition to Stop the War, engage Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in dissuading him from continuing his aggressive military actions in Ukraine.
