Keep moving, nothing to see here

RE: Hamilton politician has some nerve calling any other place unattractive (April 28)

Columnist D’Amato of the Waterloo Region Record refers to the view of Hamilton from the Skyway bridge as “an industrial wasteland and a fiery pit fit for Frodo’s destruction of the ring of doom.” Actually, we Hamiltonians have been offering this fiery, smoke belching Wizard of Oz facade to the world for over 100 years and until recently, when the city in its infinite wisdom advertised our 100 waterfalls, radiant autumnal valleys and stunning vistas, this chicanery was working perfectly. So please folks, keep driving. There’s really nothing to see here and there’s no place like home. Phil Beard, Dundas
