MOUNTAIN VOLLEYBALL CLUB Mountain Volleyball Club 18U finished 11th overall in the province winning the Tier 1 Division 2 bronze medal at the OVA 18U provincial championsh­ips in Waterloo. In first day of pool play, MVC 18U were swept by the Halton Hurricanes 25-11, 25-15; South County 26-24, 25-21 and lost a close match to Forest City 18U 26-24, 16-25, 15-10. In the power pools, MVC 18U stopped the Storm Surge 25-18, 20-25, 16-14; lost to Guelph Jr. Gryphons 17U 25-15, 25-16, 15-9 and cleared the Forest City 17U 25-19, 25-23. In quarter finals, MVC 18U swept the Etobicoke Titans Oceanus 25-22, 27-25 and lost to Leaside 17U 25-22, 25-22 in the semi finals. MVC 18U finished strong pushing through DRVC 25-12, 18-25, 15-13 to win the Bronze medal. MVC 18U team members include: Hannah Vuylsteke, Melissa McFadden, Ainsleigh Williams, Brenna Peacock, Morgan Randall, Genna Saunders, Kaitlyn Hapke, Kate Keeting, Tyler Garrick, Nicole Pirillo, Grace Pyatt, Natasha Desjardins, coaches are Larissa Puhach-Byckalo, Dan Byckalo, and Doug McKerlie.
