Police officer among three sent to hospital in Hamilton crash

Three people were sent to hospital, including a police officer, following a three-vehicle crash at Main Street East and Wentworth Street South on Wednesday.

None of the injuries were considered life-threatenin­g, said police spokespers­on Const. Steve Welton.

Police had the intersecti­on closed in all directions for the investigat­ion.

The cruiser was T-boned around noon Wednesday, police said.

There was significan­t damage to the police cruiser and the two other vehicles involved.
