100 sheep let out of pen

TOWN­SHEND — A Nor­folk County farmer is brac­ing for a po­ten­tial $90,000 loss after roughly 100 sheep were re­leased from their pen.

The sheep at the Con­ces­sion 7 farm in Town­shend ate con­tam­i­nated feed on the prop­erty after some­one freed them be­tween 2 and 10:20 a.m. Tues­day.

“The po­ten­tial loss is es­ti­mated at ap­prox­i­mately $90,000,” Nor­folk OPP said in a press re­lease.

Po­lice are ask­ing for the pub­lic’s help in in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mis­chief case. Peo­ple can call 1-888-310-1122 to of­fer tips.
