100 sheep let out of pen

TOWNSHEND — A Norfolk County farmer is bracing for a potential $90,000 loss after roughly 100 sheep were released from their pen.

The sheep at the Concession 7 farm in Townshend ate contaminat­ed feed on the property after someone freed them between 2 and 10:20 a.m. Tuesday.

“The potential loss is estimated at approximat­ely $90,000,” Norfolk OPP said in a press release.

Police are asking for the public’s help in investigat­ing the mischief case. People can call 1-888-310-1122 to offer tips.
