Joslin’s celebrating 50 years of martial arts training

Joslin’s Mixed Martial Arts is celebrating 50 years of business this summer.

A public open house at Joslin’s 436 Concession St. location, where the martial arts training centre has been since 1973, is in the works for later this summer.

The studio was started by Rick Joslin, a three-time Canadian heavyweight karate champion and member of the Hamilton Sports, and Canadian Karate, halls of fame.

Joslin turned the business over to his son Jeff about three years ago.
