Rockin’ the Waterfront Pier 4 Classic Car nights

After last week’s debut evening kick-off to the classic car cruise scene at Pier 4 Park, next week’s May 24th theme night is ‘Oddball & Crazy Creations’ night from 5 p.m. to dusk . Presented by Knight Kruizers & Hamilton Shriners Lodge plus ‘Fibrenew Industries vehicle upholstery repair specialist’. Bring what you have created finished or unfinished no matter the year. All other classics are limited to pre-1980. The band, ‘Sloppy Jalopy’ will be on stage starting at 6:00 p.m. with ‘Viva Venessa’ singing during the intermissi­on. This is all part of the City of Hamilton’s “Music in the City” program sponsored in part by the Hamilton Spectator, and other major sponsors, CARSTAR Collision & Glass and CARSTAR Express, Mountain Tire, Sampson Transmissi­on Repair, Dewildt Chrysler dealership, Top-Quality Transmissi­on Inc., Lubricare lube shop, Performanc­e Improvemen­ts, Mr. Frostee Freeze Ice Cream, Hamilton Transmissi­on Experts, BSRacing Diecast Models, Extreme Sandwich food company.

Pier 4 Park is at the northen end of James Street North. It is free to enter but if you donate a loonie you’ll get a ticket from the Shriners to have a chance of winning one of six gate prizes. There is also a Shriners 50/50 draw. There is free public parking for regular vehicles on the left before the park entrance. Bring a chair and sit in front of the large dance floor and stage and enjoy the music, or chat to the owners of the classic cars. Ice cream, food, coffee and soft drinks available for purchase.
