Good riddance to Ms Ambrose
RE: Ambrose leaves politics with an A+ rating (May 18)
Predictably, with regard to the federal Conservative party leadership race, The Spectator labels any candidate not in line with the progressive agenda as extreme, and praises Ms. Ambrose’s efforts to “change the face” of the Conservative party.
I do not believe her reign as interim leader was anything to celebrate. In an effort to appeal to urban and youth voters, Ambrose worked for the creation of a Liberal-lite, me-too version of her once-great party.
At the federal level, genuinely conservative voters have limited options and, not unlike the current Ontario scene, we now have a party of the left, the far left and the ultraleft from which to choose. That is no choice at all.
Good riddance, Ms. Ambrose. Jim Hutchinson, Dundas
