You have to breathe before you golf

The 11th annual Phyllis Gretzky Memorial Golf Classic will be held at Willow Valley Golf Course in Mount Hope on Wednesday, June 7.

When Phyllis Gretzky — wife of Walter, mother of Wayne — died 11 years ago, the family partnered with the Lung Association on the golf tournament. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Lung Association’s research program which, Walter has emphasized, is very important to his family.

In a release, Walter Gretzky reminded prospective golfers that samples from the Wayne Gretzky Winery will be given out on the ninth hole.
