Po­lice find co­caine, ec­stasy at Burling­ton home

BURLING­TON — A man is fac­ing drug-traf­fick­ing and pos­ses­sion charges af­ter po­lice seized about $1,280 worth of co­caine and ec­stasy.

Po­lice ar­rested the man Wed­nes­day on sus­pi­cion he was in pos­ses­sion of drugs, said Hal­ton po­lice. When po­lice searched him, they al­legedly found 3.5 grams of co­caine. A sub­se­quent search of his home on Bel­ve­nia Road, near New Street and Walk­ers Line, un­cov­ered 5.2 grams of co­caine, 59 MDMA (ec­stasy) pills and $1,055 crash, po­lice said.

Calvin James Pep­per, 27, of Burling­ton is charged with two counts of traf­fick­ing co­caine, two counts of pos­ses­sion of co­caine for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing, and one count of pos­ses­sion of MDMA for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing. He is to ap­pear in Mil­ton court June 13.
