Common sense is needed at Mt. Albion Falls

RE: Mt. Albion Falls

Mt. Albion Falls is one of the most beautiful natural areas not only Hamilton, but in the GTA. I first visited Mt. Albion when I was a child with my parents who took me down the hill to see the falls. Back then and even now, you knew what you were in for. Beautiful scenery, a good hike, and a couple of steep steps on our way down. At the end of this trek, we got to see this incredible waterfall which, just sitting back and admiring it, could replace any TV show.

Tourists and locals come see the falls, take a few pics, then drop their garbage on the ground or in the river. Others like these people who don’t know what they’re doing, fall off cliffs. I know what I can and can’t do. We all love Mt. Albion and it should not be closed because a few people make stupid decisions. Andrew Knowles, Hamilton
