Wellington Street house fire suspected arson

Hamilton police were investigating a suspected arson at a home on Wellington Street North Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to 137 Wellington St. N., near Cannon Street East, around 2 p.m. for a fire that was quickly extinguished, said fire prevention officer Steve McArthur.

No one was injured, and the fire was contained to the exterior of the home, said Staff Sgt. Frank Miscione.

No arrests have been made, he said.
