Man suffers cut to head during morning assault

Hamilton police are investigating an assault at a housing complex that left a man with a cut to his head.

Police were called to the complex at Barton Street East and Kenora Avenue around 7:50 a.m. for a disturbance, police said.

At the scene they found a man with a superficial cut to the head. It’s unclear what happened and whether a knife or “edged weapon” was used.

A white female with blond hair was seen running from the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
