Most drivers break parkway speed limits

-

RE: Safety on the RHVP and Linc

I was alarmed at the number of accidents reported on these two parkways recently in The Spec. I drove from Mud Street to Upper James and recently noticed three cruisers on duty in that short distance.

I also noticed several maximum 90 signs have been added to the Linc. I purposely set my cruise control at 90 km/h and I suspected that I would be passed by every car approaching from behind, and I was right. I’m convinced that the main cause of accidents on this parkway is speed over the maximum limit and following too closely.

I also wondered if police monitoring has increased recently and particularly during commute times. Jim McIntosh, Binbrook
