OPP searching for Highway 403 rock throwers

-

Brant OPP are hoping a motorist might have more details on suspects who were throwing rocks at vehicles on Highway 403 from an overpass on Thursday morning.

Police were called at 8:17 a.m. by a driver who had managed to pull over safely after a rock hurled from the Oak Park Road overpass struck and damaged his windshield.

“The driver did an exceptional job of keeping control of his vehicle and pulling over safely,” Const. Ed Sanchuk said. “When you are travelling at 100 kilometres per hour, a rock causes quite significant damage and shock factor.”

The OPP don’t have a description of the two suspects and are hoping knowledge of the incident can refresh the memory of someone who was in the area at the time.

“This isn’t a joke,” Sanchuk said. “People are playing with other people’s lives here.”

Anyone with information regarding this or any other incident should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-3101122.
