Now, can we get back to football?

Until the other day I had never heard the name Art Briles, and I’m betting neither had thousands of other Ticat fans. Sometimes when a new coach comes in he likes to have familiar faces around him and in this case, I’m betting that’s what happened.

Certainly Scott Mitchell and Bob Young knew about his past and tried to fly under the radar with this hiring. Obviously however there are many who do know about Art Briles and his past and were not happy about the decision to bring him to Hamilton. Well as we all know, the backlash was so quick and severe that the Cats did the right thing and put the kibosh on it immediately. That being said, what’s done is done, they made a mistake and quickly atoned for it.

Now, can we get back to football? The new coach is changing starting QBs, we need a win badly, and Labour Day would be a great place to get it. Dwelling on this week will not help anything. Let’s move on. Carl W. Ambridge, Hamilton
