PM can’t be blamed for not paying ransom

-

Phil Romaker makes the ridiculous assertion that paying ranson to kidnappers does not lead to further kidnapping. As a former cop, he should know better. All civilized countries, especially USA and Britain, have firm policies that prevent paying ransom to these thugs because it leads to exactly that, an endless cycle of kidnapping and future payment for the release of their victims.

Romaker tries to equate the Khadr payment to payment for kidnapping victims. This is like comparing apples to oranges and intelligent people should see through this faulty reasoning. An out-of-court settlement was really the best way to go and less costly to the Canadian taxpayer.

However, Romaker has a habit of purposely ignoring facts to endlessly criticize our P.M. He seems to ignore just how popular Trudeau is with Canadians and I believe that Romaker, as a die-hard Conservative, has a very hard time acknowledging that Trudeau and the Liberals will be leading Canada even after the next election.
