TEAM OF THE WEEK: HAMILTON WILDCATS

-

The good news is the Hamilton Wildcats of the Ontario Australian Football League can play in the Grand Final. They just have to beat the Toronto Eagles to get there.

The Wildcats, who finished the OAFL regular season with a 7-5 record lost both of their matches with the Eagles this season. They will meet again Saturday at Humber College South with game time still to be determined.

Last weekend, the Wildcats ran into a nasty bunch of Swans in Ottawa, losing their playoff game to the Ottawa Swans 8.7.55 to 5.5.35 (Australian rules lists the first number as the number of goals worth six points, the second number is the behinds, worth one point and the third is the total.)

The OAFL is a member of AFL Canada, which is the representative body of the Australian Football League (AFL) based in Melbourne, Australia. The league was formed in 1989 and currently has 11 member clubs spread throughout southern Ontario and Quebec.
