-

Name: Steven Naranjit Age: 29 Position: Senior technician at TriniTech Automotive, 1620 Barton St E. Job description: I work with customers and provide honest guidance to help them decide what repairs should be done on their car. When possible, I provide customers with possible alternatives to expensive work. I answer any questions about repairs and address all concerns before I start work on the vehicle.

Is this the job you thought you’d be doing?

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be in this field. I prepared myself by getting the necessary qualifications, skills and experience to be successful in this field. It is a dream come true for me to be involved with a progressive organization like TriniTech Automotive.

Roots: Went to St. Cecelia elementary school on the Mountain then to St. Jean de Brébeuf. Graduated from the automotive technician program at Mohawk College. Although I live on the Mountain, my grandfather taught at Hillcrest Elementary not far from TriniTech, so I am very familiar with the east end. February: Congratulations to Steven Naranjit and TriniTech Automotive for being nominated in 5 categories in the 2017 Hamilton Spectator Readers Choice Awards Networks: College of Trades Favourite restaurant in the downtown:

That is a difficult one because there are so many great new restaurants. I love trying new foods and it is amazing to see all the choices Hamilton has to offer.

Best feature of life in Hamilton:

Hamilton is becoming a very diverse city and I think this is great! We can get to know different cultures and learn from them. This will only help us grow and become better as a city and as a society.

What would make Hamilton a better city:

It would be great for Hamiltonians and visitors if we could provide free, fast internet hotspots throughout the city at no cost to taxpayers. Each hotspot can provide secure Wi-Fi and charging stations and free calls ... Although this will be a free service it can actually generate income for the city by paid advertising and will also boost local businesses.
