Teens robbed in Burlington park

BURLINGTON — Halton police are asking the public to help identity two young men wanted in connection with a robbery at a Burlington park over the weekend.

Police were called to Orchard Community Park, near Blue Spruce Avenue and Sutton Drive, in northeast Burlington around 10:30 p.m. Saturday after a large group of teens were reportedly robbed.

The teens were in the park when they were approached by two young men, one who allegedly gestured he had a weapon hidden in his waistband.

The teens were ordered to empty their pockets and turned over cellphones, jewelry and student identifica­tion.

No one was injured. The suspects fled and police believe they may have approached a second group of teens.

The first suspect is described as a black male, between 18 and 25, approximat­ely six-foot and 200 pounds. He wore a black camouflage bandana over his face, a grey hoodie and dark pants.

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, between 18 and 25, approximat­ely five-foot-seven and with a thin build. He wore a black hoodie and sweatpants.
