The number of back-to-back games won by the Sarnia Sting, which leaves them 12 wins shy of the OHL record set by the Kitchener Rangers in March 1984. Aside from the Sting, the top-ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League for a second straight week, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds are the only squad from Ontario in this week’s Top 10. They appear at No. 6.

The number of straight games won by the Mississaug­a Steelheads, who had one of the ugliest starts in the league. After losing eight of their first nine outings, the Fish are 4-1 thanks, in part, to the play of Ryan McLeod, a top prospect for next year’s NHL draft. The hometown boy has scored at least a point in each of his last 10 games.

The number of OHL players away at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in B.C., including Hamilton Bulldogs rookie Connor McMichael. Also missing? Nathan Staios, the son of Bulldogs president Steve Staios and a defenceman for the Windsor Spitfires — the team Hamilton faces twice this weekend. The elder Staios, who oversees the Under-17 program for Hockey Canada, is also out west for the seven-day tournament.

The number of mascots you can expect to see when the Spitfires visit the Bulldogs at FirstOntar­io Centre Sunday. The annual event will feature everyone from Stripes, the Tiger-Cats mascot, to the furry face of the Ancaster Avalanche, Frostbite.

The number of OHLers included in Sportsnet’s rankings for the 2018 NHL draft. Barrie Colts forward Andrei Svechnikov was the highest-rated at No. 2 on the list, which was compiled by Jeff Marek and published Wednesday. Evan Bouchard, Akil Thomas, Allan McShane, Barrett Hayton, Serron Noel, Ryan Merkley, Rasmus Sandin and Mississaug­a’s McLeod were also highlighte­d as first round prospects.

The amount of money, in dollars, the Barrie Colts are hoping to earn by growing moustaches for Movember this month. The players got ready for the annual fundraiser, which supports men’s health, by taking a team trip to a local hairdressi­ng shop to have their faces shorn last week. They’ve raised $957 so far.
